The U.S. Department of the Treasury released its March-2011 Data on Foreign Purchases and Sales of Long-Term Domestic and Foreign Securities. According to the report foreigners' net purchases of long-term securities from U.S. residents amounted to $24.02 billion, a $3.15 billion decrease from $27.16 billion in February-2011. For the comparable period last year net foreign purchases are reported at $138.40 billion.
